Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my information stored?

Trip details, manual usage entries, Wi-Fi cards excluding passwords, checklists, and connection-check history are stored locally on your device. Wi-Fi passwords are stored separately in Apple’s Keychain. Rovelet does not provide an account or Rovelet cloud sync.

Does Rovelet automatically track mobile-data usage?

No. Enter the total usage shown by your carrier or eSIM provider. Rovelet calculates the remaining amount and a daily estimate from the values you provide.

Can Rovelet connect me to Wi-Fi?

No. A Wi-Fi card is a reference you create. Open your device’s Settings app to join a network. Only save and share credentials you are authorized to use.

What happens during a connection check?

The App sends requests to Cloudflare’s speed-test service only after you tap the start button. A quick check measures HTTP response timing. A full check also transfers test data to estimate download and upload performance. Results are approximate and do not determine whether a network is secure.

Can a connection check use cellular data?

Cellular access is off by default for checks. If you explicitly enable it, a check may use your mobile-data or roaming allowance. A full check uses approximately 4 MB of payload plus network overhead; actual usage may vary.
