1. Overview

Orbyte is designed with privacy as a core principle. All network scanning and DNS filtering is performed entirely on your device.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not collect personal information
• We do not transmit network scan results to any server
• We do not log your DNS queries remotely
• We do not track your location, browsing, or app usage

3. Local Processing

• Network scanning: All device discovery, port scanning, and Bonjour resolution happens on-device over your local network.
• DNS filtering: The local VPN intercepts DNS queries on-device to block ads and trackers. No traffic leaves your device to our servers.
• Speed tests: Conducted directly between your device and public speed test servers.

4. Data Storage

All data (discovered devices, DNS logs, privacy statistics) is stored locally on your device using UserDefaults and is never transmitted externally.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

6. Network Access

The App requires local network access to perform scans. A system prompt will request your permission before accessing the local network.
